I immigrated to New Zealand in 1997 and joined AgResearch in 2000 as a senior research engineer. I hold a bachelor of engineering degree and graduated from Laser and Optical Electronic Technology, Department of Precision Instrument Engineering Tianjin University, Tianjin, China. I have 34 years of experience in electronics, automation control and measurement & instrumentation. I have extensive knowledge in hardware, software, electronics, ranging from minor components to complex systems. I have been involved in many projects from concept creations, specification discussions, detailed designs, hardware developments, software programming, installations and commissioning, writing manuals and training clients. I work hard and keep up with leading edge technology applying them to new projects. I am a key member in the Development Engineering team established to develop specialist equipment, including measurement and control systems, in support of research.
